Brett Warren, our founder and senior designer, holds both a Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University, during which time he began his residential construction career as an estimator for a local custom home builder. Following a few years in the consulting engineering world in both Harrisburg, PA, and Atlanta, GA, Brett realized his true calling was to residential design and construction. The size, volume, and overall value of the Atlanta housing market in the 1990s were just too much to overlook.

Brett then continued to work in the Atlanta home building arena for nearly 10 years with construction companies large and small, production and custom. His experience covered a wide range of disciplines including estimating, purchasing, design, and field supervision, and then concluding his Atlanta adventures with Morrison Homes where he served as Division Vice President of Estimating, Purchasing, and Design

Returning to Central Pennsylvania with his wife and family in 2003, Brett remained in the home building and construction industry, working full time for a large site development contractor/general contractor, which led to a position as operations manager and listing agent for a large age 55 plus condominium community in York County, having also become a licensed realtor during this time.

Nexus DesignWorks began in 2011 as the need for affordable, yet high-quality, design and CAD drafting services became evident through conversations and connections within the local building and subcontracting community in Central Pennsylvania. In 2017, Nexus DesignWorks grew to a full-time, full-service design firm serving builders and homeowners alike, with projects throughout Central Pennsylvania.
